Zombie EP concept art

I have been working with the The Devil Wears Prada guys since I first met them back at Bamboozle in 2008. I was on one of my first assignments photographing them for Alternative Press magazine. I forgot my camera on their bus and was cameraless for a few hours until they could come unlock it for me. I actually did it on purpose so they would remember me…well whatever happened, it worked- because they let me work with them again. THe guys in The Devil Wears Prada are extremely nice people, I am always stoked to work with them.

I made these for fun... so you know... all us camera nerds can sport em. A lot of my friends I work with have been sporting them as well ( Pierce The Veil, Bring Me The Horizon, and Jac Vanek) If you snag a shot of anyone wearing one, or a shot of yourself sporting one, please post them to the flickr group that someone has so kindly set up. I took this picture for my memory. But really, my mind was a mess when I took this photo. This photo is nothing, really it is nothing except for me, taking notes. It is something new I started doing on this last tour, i only did it a few times, and this was one of them. I took it so that after the tour, I could look back and say "oh yea, i took this photo cause this and this happened to me on this night", but really, I can't remember what happened that night, or why I took the photo. I should really get a note pad, or an audio recorder, ill figure it out come next tour. Any suggestions? Now I am just stuck with 12 megapixels of mush- shot from the backseat of a booty-stank scented tour van. What the hell am I going to do with this? Start my blog entry out? Damn straight.

I'm sitting here, on a couch, in Chicopee, Massachussettes, wearing a Nightmare Before Christmas snuggie, watching Peter Griffin buy breast implants for Chris. Thanks to Jeremy's twitpic skills, everyone now knows what I look like in a snuggie.

I was telling my friend Nicole, who somehow lives above me now that I am writing a blog for my trip to Europe, its gonna be really long and its hard to remember everything I did. She said, you are writing it now? Why didn't you write it on the road. I told her, if I write it on the road, I wont be on the road, ill be writing a blog about writing a blog because there will be no roadage if I am on my computer the whole time? Does that make sense? Welcome to my brain.

east coast weekend workshop

My second workshop is booked and ready to go. It will take place on January 9th and 10th in Chicopee, MA with Jeremy Saffer and myself. We are splitting it down the middle as Jeremy and I both have our strong points. We figured we could cover more ground this way and make the workshop more informative.

Crunch time, man, now I want cereal. So many things to cover, I guess I will start from the past and end with the current. Here we go.

Its weird, cause I type/ write/ conjure up blogs over a few weeks, bits at a time. I try to knock 'em out all at once, but I always get sidetracked. I am confident I can get this tonight tonight, so I will just start with what I had written on my paper. Hope this isn't too confusing.

Workshop recap

I ran my first workshop in San Diego, CA over this past weekend. A solid 12 attendees showed up and we all had a blast. Here are some images from the workshop. I will have video, more shots etc etc up, as people turn them in. Matt said he is going to make a sweet three six mafia video with footage from the shoot, so I am looking forward to that for sure.

I took a good month long breather-break kinda deal from photography, not by choice, but it was definitely worth it. Just needed time to relax and do random junk in California with some friends. I had a few photo shoots here and there, but nothing too intense. The only images I am able to post at the moment are my Mayday Parade shots.
