I made it out to Europe to do a quick run with Pierce The Veil and Bring Me The Horizon. Originally I was supposed to be out for the whole tour. However, I had to change my schedule as a job offer with ADTR came up and I couldn’t turn it down. I had some schedule mix-ups and because of this, I flew out and only made it to the second day of the PTV BMTH show at Brixton Academy in UK.
I flew out of Wisconsin. Honestly, at this point, I really wanted to go home. I had been in Madison and Milwaukee visiting the people if grew up with and hanging with my dad for his 50th birthday. It was awesome, but it just made me miss San Diego even more. I can’t stress how little I was home in 2013. So little, but it’s okay- I had to hustle. Every day is a photoshoot for me when I am on tour. Nothing makes me happier, except for maybe like kissing some girl I like, har har har. Moving on, why would I ever turn down a tour if it makes me so happy and I enjoy it so much?
I landed at Gatwick in London, which is a bit out but they have a fast train that takes you to central London pretty quick. I did that thing and hopped off, and walked to the underground aka subway.
Apologies for the lack of text on this blog. It is just photos. I hope you enjoy!
November 7th, 2013 – London, United Kingdom – O2 Academy Brixton
I had gotten pretty good at using London’s public transportation. The underground is amazing, and it can get you to almost anywhere in London in about 40 minutes. Pretty quick considering how busy/ long it takes to get anywhere in a cab there. Anyway, I snagged a ride on the underground and took it to the hotel Pierce The Veil was staying out. Got out, walked in the lobby and hungover Jaime was hanging. He gave me a good idea of what their night was like the day before and soon after Mike showed up. I guess they were headed to press in 20 mins? Right to work! We hopped in a cab with their publicist and headed out to do some interviews and then went to the Kerrang!
November 8th, 2013 – London, United Kingdom – Off Day
I left this tour for a few days to shoot Major Lazer. Resume a few days later.
November 10th, 2013 – Weisbaden, Germany – Schlachthof
November 11th, 2013 – Stuttgart, Germany – Longhorn Germany
November 12th, 2013 – Tilburg, Netherlands – 013 Holland
November 13th, 2013 – Brussels, Belgium – AB Belgium
That night we went out, it was really the first night we went… err hard. Other than the night that I assume they had before I joined the tour. This whole tour for me was kind of a blur, mind internal clock was absolutely fucked. That being, Brussels was amazing. My photographer friend from the area came out after the show and showed a few of us a good time. We tried some of the local drunk food and drank at the Delirium bar. It was a blast. Afterward I walked back to his place and crashed there for the night.
I was done with this tour in Brussels. I had to leave to go out with A Day To Remember. I had a good time on it, even though it was very short-lived. Guillaume Kayacan photographed me at his place the next morning. I am a huge fan of his work, so I was honored to have him photograph me.
